Custom Tactical Patches

Tactical patches are patches designed for use on tactical gear including plate carriers, chest rigs, tactical vests, helmets, and MOLLE backpacks. They serve for identification, unit designation, rank display, or morale. Primary users are military personnel, law enforcement tactical units, federal agents, security contractors, and civilian shooters and preppers who organize their gear with clear identification patches.

Hook-and-loop (Velcro) is the universal standard for tactical patches. The hook portion is embedded on the back of the patch. This system allows patches to be mounted on any loop-field panel, such as the front of a plate carrier, helmet mount areas, or MOLLE admin pouches. Tactical patches without hook backing are not functional — always specify Velcro hook backing for tactical application.

Yes. We produce PVC tactical patches with IR-reflective elements embedded within the design. IR flag patches, callsign patches with IR strips, and unit patches with IR zones are all producible. IR-reflective patches appear normal in daylight but glow bright white under Gen 2 and Gen 3 night vision. These are used by active duty military, law enforcement SWAT, and security contractors operating in low-light environments.

US military flag patches follow specific regulations — the flag faces forward on the right shoulder (stars to the right) and reverse on the left shoulder (stars to the left). Full-color flag patches are worn on dress uniforms; subdued (dark background, muted colors) are for field and combat configurations. Name tapes, blood type patches, and US patches follow similar color standards by branch. We produce to specification if you provide the exact color and placement requirements.

Standard tactical gear loop panels on plate carriers typically measure 3x5 inches or 5x8 inches on the front cummerbund. Patches sized at 2x3 inches or 3x2 inches (the military-standard morale patch size) fit any loop panel. Larger panels can accommodate 4x5 inch or 5x7 inch patches. We recommend measuring your specific loop field before ordering a large tactical patch to confirm fit.
